We all hope there will be at least a shortened season for the 2011 2012 NBA Championship Odds. We have still posted NBA Championship lines all summer through the lockout and will have all the basketball betting lines when the season commences.
The Miami Heat are one of the teams within the 2011 NBA odds that can win it all. With all the core group back added with new addition 28th pick G Norris Cole is to bolster the point guard spot. The Miami Heat have the best one two punch in basketball with Lebron James and Dwyane Wade. That duo dominates both ends of the floor and that alone can take the Heat very far.
The Dallas Mavericks is my top picking of winning it all in the 11-12 season.
The Mavs can certainly repeat due to the leaders of the team Led by Finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki, the current NBA champs know what it takes to win the championship. Dirk played great but it really was his supporting cast who stole the show. Dallas has one of the best benches in the NBA and they will be crucial to repeating.
Last year has very disappointed for the Los Angeles Lakers but I have them as a top contender for the NBA finals. They got swept by the current champs the Dallas Mavericks in 4 games.
Adding talent from the draft they are reloaded and ready to show everyone last year was a fluke year. Though the lose legendary coach Phil Jackson, the Lakers are a veteran savvy group and Kobe Bryant is a competitor and winner that will do anything to help his team win and with his supporting cast it will be very difficult to count the Lakers out.
Former champs the Boston Celtics is one of the best teams in the east and a national championship contender. Another veteran heavy group, this team was together when they won the NBA championship in 2008. They know exactly what to do to win another one and this is great defense. This team can win it due to everyone playing their role and doing their job. Shook up by new faces last year in mid season, this years team will have a lot more chemistry and be ready to battle and can win the finals.
Oklahoma City Thunder is another premier team in the Western Conference and can win the Finals. Despite their young ages, this team led by gunslinger Kevin Durant is ready to compete in the veteran heavy Western Conference. This team has seen major success in the playoffs due to its perfect balance of offensive and defensive and is ready to take the next step. The perfect balance between offensive and defensive will cause a lot of teams fits and mismatches where the Thunder can expose and climb to the NBA 2011-2012 Championship.
The Chicago Bulls have a very realistic change of going all the way. In the 11-12 season the Bulls have a great chance of winning it all because they are led by league MVP Derrick Rose this team is defensive minded and ready to topple the Eastern Conference due to its excellent man to man defense. Derrick rose is a blur with the ball in his hands and create fits for the opposite team by either attacking the basket or creating easy opportunities for his teammates. This is the blueprint for the Bulls to win it all.
A underdog team is the San Antonio Spurs. Last year they finished 61 - 20 but lost in the first round on the play offs to the Grizzles in 6 games. This is a veteran heavy team that drafted a lot of new players trying to get younger at some spots. They can win it all because they won a few championships with this group of vets before and are still very strong in the front court and back court despite their ages.
The team that most counted out is the New York Knicks. They had semi-successful 10-11 year going 42 - 40 in the regular season, but lost in the first round to the Celtics in 4 games. All the key guys are back and they drafted help beef up defense and rebounding issues. The Knicks are a sleeper pick because Melo only played with this team for a half a season. The expectations will be a lot higher this season with the duo of Melo and Amar'e. This team can fill up the scoreboard quick if you don't defend them properly as they won a lot of shootouts last season. They can easily light up the scoreboard through out the playoffs and advance to the finals where they can take home the championship.
An underdog pick for the 2011-2012 champs is the Orlando Magic. Losing to the first round to the Atlanta Hawks in 6 games, these boys will be back with a vengeance. They can easily win it all because this team has a lot of great shooters and once they get hot it is difficult to stop. When they are not firing away the three ball, defensive MVP Dwight Howard is down low securing the middle by getting blocks, controlling the boards and getting easy dunks. He will be a force to deal with as he is the NBA's premier center in both talent and size.
