Heat look to cool off the Palace

LeBron directed the beat-up Heat to a 1 point victory during their previous game with the Pistons. With Wade & Chris Bosh back on the floor, however, he probably will not have to put the team on his back himself this occasion.

While trying for a 4th consecutive victory away from home against the Detroit, the Heat will attempt for an 8th straight win overall as they start a 4 game trek Friday evening. In spite of losing by 7 going into the 4th quarter Tuesday, the Heat ( 38 - 14 ) increased their winning run by defeating the Pacers 117 - 112 as LeBron posted forty-one points, a high for the year - tying thirteen boards, 8 dishes, 3 steals & a rejection.

LeBron, the sole active player putting in a minimum of 20.0 points, 7.0 boards & 7.0 dishes, posted 39, 8 & 9, respectively, during a 88 - 87 victory January 28th against the Pistons while Wade who had a wrist injury & Bosh who had an ankle injury had been kept on the sidelines.

Wade recorded seventeen points & 7 dishes while Bosh contributed nineteen points & 7 boards versus the Pacers. Wade, however, is not worried with individual stats.

The Heat have taken 7 of 8 from the Pistons, which includes 3 consecutive at the Palace of Auburn Hills by an average of 16.3 points.

Detroit ( 20 - 33 ), at the same time, come into this game having picked up 3 of 4 & following increasing host Cleveland's League record skid to 26 having a 103 - 94 win on Wednesday.

the Pistons are presently in eleventh place within the East, however only 3.5 games behind the Pacers for the 8th & last post-season position.

working so hard to get as many victories as we probably can. ( The game versus Cleveland ) happened to be the next matchup during the schedule & the next 1 is equally important now, Pistons coach John Kuester stated.

Rodney Stuckey put in 22 points coming off the bench in his 2nd matchup back following skipping 5 having a shoulder contusion. Stuckey, who has been leading the club with 15.3 points per game, has put in a minimum of 18 in 3 of his previous 4 home court matchups with the Heat.

The Pistons' current success comes in part from a strong defense that's permitted 88.5 points during their previous 4 matchups. The Pistons, however, might have issue slowing down Miami, who're putting in 107.0 points during their previous 3 games away from home.

The Pistons are 1 - 19 in regulation when allowing a minimum of the century mark.

The Pistons' Richard Hamilton had been kept on the sidelines Wednesday for the 2nd straight matchup having a sore groin and his standing for this contest is not known. Since joining the Pistons in 2002 - 2003, he has put in 17.3 points in 12 career home court matchups versus the Heat.
