Money lines are straight wagers and work in the following manner:

If you choose the NFL lines for the Denver Broncos to win the game at -130, this means for every $130.00 you wager, you could win $100.00.

If you choose the St. Louis Rams to win the game at +250, for your $100 you wager you could win $250.00.

Lines or spreads deal with the points scored in a game. For instance:

You wager on the Miami Dolphins to win at -2, this means the Dolphins have to win by more than 2 points in the final score of the game. If you choose the San Francisco 49ers to win at +3, the 49ers could win the game outright or you can still win your wager if the 49ers lose the game by less than 3 points.

Over/Under game totals let you place bets on the total points in a game. If the over/under total for a game is 33, you would bet that less than 33 points will be scored in the game or more than 33 points will be scored in the game.

Sometimes a spread or an over/under wager can have a money line associated with it as well. For instance: Over 34 (-150), this means for every $150 you wager you could win $100 if the score is over 34 total points. Similarly if the wager is under 34 (+140), for every $100 you wager you could win $140 if the score is under 34 points total.
