Wager on Mexican League Football odds and the Mexico La Primera Division odds at Allpro. The First Division (La Primera Division) is the most important Mexican professional soccer tournament, is the first level in Mexican Soccer League. La Primera Division was established in 1943. Throughout its history the number of participating teams has varied, and since 2004 it has 18 clubs, which are divided into three groups. They play two tournaments per year called Closing (Clausura) and Opening (Apertura), in that order; before they were called summer (Verano) and winter (Invierno) respectively.

Depending on its performance, the club with the worst two tournaments, and worst overall history of losses based on percentage, loses the category and is downgraded to the Primera Division A. The champion of the Primera Division A is upgraded to the Primera Division taking the place of the downgraded team. If this team doesn't want to lose its place in the Primera Division, it needs to win at least half its matches in each tournament.

The Mexican Soccer League is the league that pays the higher salaries in the American continent. It allows up to six foreign players in each club, but only five of them are allowed to play at the same time during a match. The only team with no foreign players is Guadalajara, also known as Las Chivas Rayadas (the stripped goats).

The club with most titles in the league is Guadalajara with 11, followed by Las Aguilas del America (America's Eagles) and Los Diablos Rojos de Toluca (Toluca's red devils) with 10. Cruz Azul with 8 titles, UNAM with 6, and Pachuca and Leon with 5 titles each.

The classic of classics is the most important game of the tournament between the rivals America and Guadalajara, the most popular teams in the league. Other important matches are the Tapatio classic between Guadalajara and Atlas, both from Guadalajara, the Regiomontano classic between Monterrey and Tigres, both teams from the state of Nuevo Leon, the Capitalino classic between America and UNAM, and the Clasico Joven (young classic) between America and Cruz Azul.
